Respect
A street poet undaunted
As promised attached is a file in pdf format of my recent novella, Respect.
I sketched out this brief novella when the MeToo movement was in full flow and the disgusting history of Harvey Weinstein crept into and dominated the news feed. I wanted to challenge the idea which Weinstein’s defense team was promoting; that the women were involved for their own enhancement. I found that unpalatable. I wanted to put it into a context I might understand. At the same time the concept of guilt for a mistake or previous cowardly moment seeped into my thinking. Thus the novella.
It is just under a three hour read. Please read and enjoy. Any feedback and suggestions would be greatly appreciated. The novella is part of a much larger YA novel, Cinder’s Quest.
